No, I don’t take no for an answer.
I always took ‘No’ as: ‘No, not right now’.
I was that girl that persistently asked over and over because I knew no didn’t always mean no. It wasn’t something I was taught. I think it was ingrained in me. I think it’s in all of us.
As a young girl, it got me in trouble more than not. But that persistence, determination, tenacity, and that unwillingness to accept no, gave me opportunities, I couldn’t begin to appreciate at that age.
Today, I know that persistence is a gift. Because there is always a way to make things work. There is always a solution.
I’m not always looking for the yes. I value the no. No to me means keep trying, keep thinking, and keep working towards the solution.
